Relationship Invoicing Beta Status

This page describes a feature that is part of Relationship Invoicing, which is a new method of bill presentment for you and your subscribers. The information on this page is only applicable to newly created sites that opt-in as described in Creating a Site with Relationship Invoicing.

For merchants who opt-in to this set of beta features, Relationship Invoicing replaces both Statements and Classic Invoices as the way to view the billing of your subcribers.

You can read more about the beta status and future plans, including how to be notified when these features are availble for existing sites.

Future Plans

We’re rolling out Relationship Invoicing (RI for brevity) over time to make the transition as smooth as possible. Your existing integration will continue to work without programming changes. Over time, however, you will need to adapt to use the new tools we provide in the interface (i.e. view and configure new invoices instead of old statements). As a benefit, powerful new features such as invoice consolidation and customer hierarchies/WhoPays will become available.

Here is a rough rollout overview for Relationship Invoicing in the months to come:

  • RI becomes the default for new sites, and old sites can be optionally converted
  • RI completely replaces statements and classic invoices in the app (except for the API)

Converting Older Sites to Relationship Invoicing

We are working hard to bring the power of Relationship Invoicing to all Chargify merchants.

Being able to convert an existing site to one that has access to the new features of Relationship Invoicing is one of our top priorities.
