Are there any plans on adding any of Paypal's services as a
payment gateway option?

Chargify
Hi,
Do you mean PayPal Website Payments Pro?
We turned it on for a month or two last year, but our merchants
had a high number of complaints during the time, so we removed it.
We started to warm to it again maybe 6-8 months later, only to see
those early merchants put through 5 weeks of a bug at PayPal WPP
that resulted in multiple charges to their customers.
So, we can turn it on for you, but we strongly suggest you use
Authorize.Net, TrustCommerce, etc. - the gateways we support as
shown on our home page.
Thanks.

yes I had WPP in mind... we've been using it successfully with a
Spreedly integration on another app for over a year without
issue.
Our chargify/authorize.net setup on a different app is working
great, however we've found that it's a lot more overhead on the
accounting side than paypal was.
Am interested in having it turned on for us... though the fact
that it was buggy w/ chargify makes me a bit nervous. Are any
current customers using it successfully?

I guess it's a moot point anyway at the moment since we can't
change gateways, as we have active subscriptions under
authorize.net

Chargify
Sounds like it's a moot point now, but we do have merchants
using WPP without issues since that WPP bug I mentioned in late
Summer 2010.

Thanks for the reply Lance... we're actually thinking about
bringing a new site we're working on onto chargify... we should be
able to enable the WPP gateway for the site correct?
Also, is the chargify pricing per site, or per account and
customers across all sites under that account?
Thanks.

Chargify
Okay, we can turn on WPP for you; please just keep in mind that
we recommend other gateways at this time due to the experience I
noted earlier.
Pricing is per Chargify account, which can have multiple Sites
in it. We count your paying customers in aggregate.
Thanks.

Wait can you seriously turn it on for anyone? I'd love to stay with chargify if you could turn it on for us. I was looking towards recurly but only because they allowed it. My company is B2C and not having paypal would hurt pretty badly.

Ditto with Josh, are we able to utilise PayPal whilst we sort out a Merchant Bank alternative?
2. Super important: we're talking about PayPay Website Payments Pro for credit card processing. We're still talking about consumers paying with credit cards thru Chargify.

We can turn it on, we just don't trust them 100%.
Now, please keep two things in mind:
1. In the US, you can get Auth.Net + merchant account in a few days for $50/mo. Strongly advise that. http://chargify.com/merchant-accounts
